Hello everyone, I am back and now living in Cape Town, We travelled down by Greyhound Bus, and were caught in the worst storm the northern Cape has had in a century, The Wine farms were wiped out, but we arrived saftly, and are now resting after out very traumatic 2 months of living in hell. I am hoping to get a job in the New year, or even better still hope I win the Lotto

Things have not been to good lately

This is the farm house that we have been evicted from as from the end of September.

So sorry for not posting, but we have been told to evict the farm house that we have been in for the last five years, just because our little dog Luke chased our neighbours chicken so the landlord has told us to get out. I am very upset about this, and although they think I have put Luke down, as they wanted it done, I have found him another home far away from any chickens, My son and I are really batting to find another home in a decent price range, as home owners these days are only out to get as much money as they can, and I cant afford a high price, I will be disconected from the internet at the end of September, untill I am able to find a place to live in, if not then I will loose my job, and have to move to Cape Town to my sister, and that means I will have to find homes for all my dogs and cats, and the pigs, the parrots went today, and the geese and ducks go tomorrow, It is just so heart breaking to say good bye to them, but my land lord is adament, he does not want us here anymore, he thinks he can get more money from someone else for the shack that we live in, and it really is a shack, I will be happy to get out, but where to I dont know.


PLease say a prayer for us that we are able to get a house near by so that I can keep my job, I really need your prayers right now.

In October of 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, we found an abandoned dog. He was in the fenced back yard of a house that had been foreclosed upon, the owners having simply moved out, leaving this wonderful animal behind to starve.He was hungry, scared and completely covered with dirty, matted fur, yet open and loving. We took him from this horrible situation, got him cleaned up, checked out with a vet and brought him home to try and find a loving family for him.He never left.Bear has been a member of our family ever since that day we found him. This dog was put through so much torment, left outside to die in the worst hurricane on record, and yet he has the most open and loving temperament you have ever seen. In the almost 3 years he has been with us, I have never once seen an aggressive side to his nature. Groomers love him, guests to our house love him and, even when we welcomed our daughter into this world, he would bathe her feet with his kisses.On the morning of June 19th, this loving family member was brutally attacked and mauled by a pit bull. A neighbor tried to help break up the attack and was bitten herself by this out of control animal. As soon as Bear could get away, he stumbled home; bleeding from several gaping wounds, dragging a now useless rear leg behind him.We immediately carried him to the Animal Health Center in Madison, where Dr. BJ Cash began his assessment. Bear had sustained severe trauma to his chest and shoulder areas with crushing bites and deep lacerations. He was missing a large amount of flesh from his right under arm and had lost considerable blood. After X-ray, it was found that while his rear leg was not broken, it had been ripped out of the hip socket and, with the power of the pit bull attack, all of the associated tissue and muscle that should hold it in place had been destroyed.He will need surgery to repair this damage after he his wounds heal somewhat.As of right now, the hospital bills are over $1200.00. We do not have the money for this, nor do we have any monetary means to provide the continued care and medications he will need through this convalescence. The surgery he desperately requires will be thousands of dollars alone.It has been suggested that we just put him down and, after staying up most of the night, I had agreed to. But Bear has never given up. He has always been a loving family member even in the face of the hardships he has been through. So I won't give up either.We would like to ask for donations to help Bear recover. Anything will help. To day after my attack yesterday I am still very angry, my neck hurts and so does my pocket, I had to get a new bank card and will have to make an appointment to get new reading glasses so please any mistakes I have made in these page excuse due to my poor eyesight. I was attacked and robbed by three young Black Males

this morning while on my way to work, I was attacked by three young Black Males between the ages of 16years and 18 years, they grabbed me around the neck and ripped my handbag from me, I screamed for help but no one heard me, and I ran the 2 km to my bosses home, where I reported to him, he called the police and the dog squad, and 45 minutes later my belongings were found near the Shongweni railway station. My cell phone, my glasses and my flash drive were missing, It was a shocking experience to me, and at the moment I am extreemly annoyed and shaking, I really feel that these young men should be shot and killed. Sorry but that is the way I am feeling right now, I will never forgive them.
